A tribure to Tupac Amura Shakur

My poetry

My life seems like a glimpse of Hell 2 me,
But it's all good 'cuz my eyez R open and I can C.
I know what's wrong, and what's right,
And I know not 2 trust the ones with blurred eyesight,
'Cuz the same ones tryin' 2 get me high,
R the same ones who'll stand by, and let me cry.
U know why? It's because they don't care if I die.
They'll look me right in the eye... and lie.
But I can't turn my back on those who question my word,
They don't understand my word is inspired by God... words we both
heard.
We live by the same teachings, but it's like they misinterprate,
It's as if they mistake that which is different as acts of the
Serpent.
You've got to take your eyez beyond the path in front of you,
Look around and realize... I'm on a path 2 heaven 2.
I thank God from the bottom of my heart,
For my talents, my intellegence, my art,
My love, my experience, my hate, my pain.
It's all made me wiser, and kept me in this game.
It's not the fame that I wish to achieve,
But to reach as many positivly as I can, and teach them 2 believe.
I cry when I C others decieve.
I try to touch them all, but soon I must leave,
For I shall accomplish what I've been sent 2 do.
That is 2 open your eyez and find a warm tear in YOU.
God gave me the power to speak, that's why I've been sent,
God told that if I spoke,
That you would never forget

First place poem

Only god can judge 2pac...
black man, black boy, prince, thug, revolutionary, symbol,
they only see your tatoos jewelry and body language they only
hear ur vulgar words defiant messages and your unavoidable controversy
they see ur life as a threat they comment "chickens cam home to
roost" they blame u for the violence in america, they por disgust on
you and point the finger at u for problems in our families
black man, black boy, prince, thug, revolutionary, symbol,
we see u as a dark truth but they scared to accent we see u as the
voice
we sometimes could not find we see u as a young malcolm x, alcohol
drugs women
and prison consumed u as it did brother malcolm yet those that knew u
knew u were on the way oit u had seen the light and moved toward it
we felt ur pain so similar to ours we felt ur frustation so similar
to ours we felt ur frustration
so similar to ours. we felt ur anger so similar to ours u are the
unavoidable realness. the generation x as they describe it ur a 1996
elvis john lennon jimi hendricks sammy davis ella fitzgerald
those that dont know may never know
those that do know truly know that ONLY GOD CAN JUDGE ME

U called 4 death

U Called 4 Your Death
(Dedicated to Tupac Amaru Shakur)

Pac, u called for it
When u talked all that shit
As bold as u r
U didn't need to show that part
Or side 2 u, u r a star
In the heavens now
But u misused your mouth
The label got to your head
And it filled u with lead
And made your physical mold dead
Your voice, full of strength and boldness
Was quickly replaced by the coldness
And your poetical arsenal of madness
Was quickly replaced by our sadness
Your tears from your childhood
The real ones that got u outta the hood
Were now dried
On the inside
People didn't know how u cried
Because you concealed your pain
That enemies had produced during your reign
But you 4got what person u came from
U were a child of the sun
U r Afeni's son
U aren't supposed to be gone
Your life was precious
Built to stop whoever oppressed us
And u impressed us
With your representation
But now we mourn your cremation
And will 4ever celebrate your creation
But why did u have to leave,
U led us 2 believe
That u would stop the anger and rage
But your words came out like a bloody rampage
U called 4 it
And simply took another hit
Of weed and escaped in the smoke
Taking it all as a joke
And joke it was not
For it was the reason why the heat was hot
Leaving no trail
Without a single story to tell
And they will all go to hell
For killing a man who was not in the right mind
To speak those words that were so blind
To reason, reality, and respect
And full of vanity, selfishness, and neglect
To your people, the game got u
And it's disappointing 2 see what it led u 2 do
But in all cases, I ain't mad at cha
U once again used your flow
As the medium to let people know
What you're thinking
But 2day your beautiful eyes aren’t blinking.
And that’s the reason
Why it’s guiltier than treason
That your fate was as unpredictable as a coin toss
And losing you was the greatest loss
To us all
Cuz now, we can’t ball
Or walk the halls
Without hearing your calls
Or the shouts
Of your lyrical bouts
Filled with knockouts
And rounds of blows
Aimed at your foes
In the world there lies
A panther in every soul who has cried
For it’s own kind has died.

dedication

I am still consumed by your words through this changing life
My hope and wonder gets me through the night
Your heart and desire for happiness
pushes me on through a world of bliss
With everyday, I will not forget
To me and the world, what u meant
But for some teaching your ways makes no sense
Those ignorant will soon learn of what u possess
A mind so strong, a heart so bold
Trying to change this world to warm from cold

U lived a thug
U died a thug
U was a thug
Most couldn’t do in a life time
What u did in your short 25 years
U was an inspiration
To a generation
Of the poverty stricken
U tasted poverty like no other
I may not taste poverty
But I don’t go through a day
Were I don’t cry for u
Whether it be silent or aloud
U are and always will be
My inspiration
To u I devote myself
I may be thought crazy to those who don’t
Understand
I will love u forever
I will forever be in mourning
For a thug 4 life

And 2morrow

Today is filled with anger
fueled with hidden hate
scared of being outcast
afraid of common fate
Today is built on tragedies
which no one wants 2 face
nightmares 2 humanities
and morally disgraced
Tonight is filled with rage
violence in the air
children bred with ruthlessness
because no one at home cares
Tonight I lay my head down
but the pressure never stops
knawing at my sanity
content when I am dropped
But 2morrow I c change
a chance 2 build a new
Built on spirit intent of Heart
and ideals
based on truth
and tomorrow I wake with second wind
and strong because of pride
2 know I fought with all my heart 2 keep my
dream alive

The Rose That Grew From Concrete

Did you hear about the rose that grew from a crack in the concrete?
Proving nature's law is wrong it learned to walk with out having feet.
Funny it seems, but by keeping it's dreams, it learned to breathe fresh air.
Long live the rose that grew from concrete when no one else ever cared.
